Thomas Jefferson Wishbone is a Rawhide character played by Regis Toomey. He is the the brother of George Washington Wishbone, cook of Gil Favor's cowboying crew driving cattle along the Sedalia Trail.

Wishbone has a twin brother who is named after one of the founding fathers, just like him. He and his brother George Washington were reunited after a long while at a time when T.J. went through life as a tinker. [1]

T.J. serves in the U.S. Army as captain of company D of the 4th cavalry regiment. [1]
