Sarah Nguyen, played by Michaela Conlin is a reporter. When out fishing with her girlfriend Paige Nutter, she recognizes John Dutton as a fellow fisherman and gets drawn to him and his family. She feels and knows he lives a story that is worth telling and is determined to go after it.

Throughout the Series

She was hired by Christina to do research for Jamie's campaign, not knowing who she really was. Sarah arrived in Montana along with her girlfriend, Paige Nutter, and infiltrated the campaign to expose corruption from John Dutton and Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Jamie did cooperative for a time, but when Jamie attempted to recant his statement, Sarah told him it was too late. Jamie abruptedly assault and killed her in the process, forcing him to get help from Rip who made it look like a kayaking accident.
