Intro (theme song)[]
The theme of Rawhide was created and composed by Dimitri Tiomkin, the lyrics were written by Ned Washington and the song was recorded by Frankie Laine. Even though the visuals of the intro changed throughout the series Laine could be heard singing the theme song from the first episode to the last.

Beyond the Sun[]
Another theme that could be heard in various Rawhide episodes was a song called Beyond the Sun, a theme by Russ Garcia that most likely got its name when Lenny Adelson wrote the lyrics to it. In The Pitchwagon (episode 21 of season 4) Clint Eastwood performed the song as Rowdy Yates.
