Heritage is the sixth episode of the first season of The Big Valley. It first aired on October 20, 1965. 

Plot[]

In the town of Lonesome Camp, the Barkleys' investment in a mine is threatened when labor unrest leads to a violent strike. Heath looks into the situation and, due to promises made by the late Tom Barkley years before, the Barkleys decide to fight for control of the mine in order to settle the dispute. - Source: IMDb.com

  • The Lonesome Camp Saloon is the same set used for The Long Branch Saloon in Gunsmoke.

Goofs[]

  • The sound effect for the first punch Heath lands on Dion O'Doul in the mine is delayed.
  • In the credits, a character is referred to as Paddy The Ghoul, when in the show he is referred to as Paddy The Goon.
  • When Heath for the first time enters the saloon, there are two shadows of men through the window. In the next shot, there are no men there to cast the shadows.
