Dirk Hurdstram is a Yellowstone character played by Stanley Peternel. He is the grandfather of Jimmy Hurdstram, one of the ranch hands of John Dutton's Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.

Family[]
Dirk Hurdstram is part of an unfortunate family. His wife died when his daughter was young and he used to say her death killed the whole family. At some point, all of his family members either died or went to prison, leaving only him and his grandson Jimmy. [1]
Death[]
After his grandson had gone through some bad times, the past caught up with him when two men came after some money he owed. They beat up Dirk Hurdstram to send a warning. [2] When Jimmy had already paid off the men, Dirk died in the aftermath of the beating. [3]
