Personal life[]
Marriage & family[]
Dan Jenkins was a married man. He and his wife Victora had three children. [1] They lived in Montana but when things got out of hand at work, Jenkins sent his family away for their protection. [2]
Death[]
Jenkins was killed by hitmen that the Beck brothers hired to finally push Dan out of his land deal permanently. The first hitman killed Dan's bodyguard Torry and entered the house. Dan saw the man picking the lock so he took a gun out of a kitchen drawer and hid behind a door. Dan shot the hitman through the door before he could do the same to him, cautiously stepping out of his hiding place, Dan also took the man's gun just before a second hitman entered through another door in the kitchen. The two open fire on each other, one bullet hitting Dan in his side but ultimately wins the firefight. Shocked from his wound, Dan goes through the door leading to his back porch, noticing a third hitman too late. The hitman shoots Dan once in the chest and leaves him there to die slowly as he retrieves the corpses of his fallen teammates. Dan's last words were “I have every right to be here. I have every right. I have a right. This is America.” [3]

As a capital developer for Paradise Valley, Dan Jenkins moved his developing projects into Montana. But not without resistance. During development of his housing project near Bozeman, he became acquainted with cattle ranch owner John Dutton and Thomas Rainwater, chairman of the Confederated Tribes of Broken Rock. [4] Both men disagreed with his plans, but Rainwater saw opportunities to work with Jenkins and suggested a collaboration between the tribes and his company. Together, they made plans for the building of a casino and a hotel. [5]
For his housing project, Jenkins started to work together with a bank represented by Doug. [4] But when in business trouble, he felt the need to ask Melody Prescott for help. When troubles eventually put him in danger, he hired Torry for his personal protection. [2]
Incident(s)[]
- When the feud between his company and the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch was at its worst, several ranch hands captured him and strung him to a tree. Kayce told the wranglers to let him hang, but they cut him down off camera, letting this be a lesson for Dan. After his almost hanging, Dan sends his wife and daughters away to prevent his rivals from harming them. [6]
