Chester Spears, also known as Checkers and nicknamed 'The Great White Hopeless' by Thomas Rainwater, is a Yellowstone character played by Brad Carter. He comes to the attention of Rainwater and Mo when he brags to a casino dealer about his knowledge of the people behind the attack on the Duttons and his involvement with 'putting it together'. [1]

Death[]
After outing Terrell Riggins as the one behind the attacks on the Duttons, Checkers is handed over to John Dutton by Rainwater and Mo. Dutton brings him to the Wyoming state line, to what is known at his ranch as 'The Train Station'. He gives Checkers a 'fair' chance to escape by challenging him to a duel. Checkers, however, is unable to come out of this duel alive. [2]

He has served in the Army, but was dishonorably discharged in 2006 for conduct unbecoming. [1]
